Walked from Moratinos to Burgo Raneros, 29km
Since Logrono we have been walking with a Spanish group of which Estrella, Norbert,s Camino angel and blister fixer was a part, we seem to end up in the same place every day.
One of the pictures is this group minus Estrella who is 2 days behind. In Burgo Ranero we had a very nice auberge with a room with 3 beds, a treat as the other room had 36 beds.
We had Dominique as a roomy, she walked from Paris, and what a positive person she is, lots of blisters b

ut no complaints. The auberge had a nice garden with fruit trees to which Norbert helped himself. On arrival, the first step is a shower, then laundry then prepare you bed and after that we look where to have dinner and shop for supply's for the next day.
Today we arrived in Leon, we took the bus for the last 7km. as we find city walking hard on the feet and ears.
Leon has a beautiful cathedral and is a university town, so lots of young people. Visited the cathedral and watched the plaza come to live. On my last Camino I skipped this city.
Tomorrow we are on to Vilar de Mazarife and Hospital de Orbigo.
Hugs to all.

Sept. 7th
Walked from Boadillo to Carrion de Los Condes 29.0 km.
We started walking at 6:30 and were rewarded with a beautiful sunrise, and again shipped the pack forward so the walking was fine and as Norbert's blisters are healing, we can enjoy the scenery. Today we mostly waked with Doris and Ilka from Germany, the fast walking ladies.
I reported earlier that thy do 40 km. per day but that was wrong, thy walk about the same pace as we. There are two routes to arrive at Carrion, one along the freeway and the original one along the canal which is longer, we took the canal route and it was very quiet and few pilgrims.
Arrived at our destination before 2pm. We are in the same Auberge where I stayed last time for 3 days to recuperate.  Wanted to do some shopping for food as tomorrow we have a stretch of 18 km with no opportunity for food or water but there is a fiesta and all stores are closed. The la k of sanitary facilities is sometimes harder than the lack of food. Did not see Bev from New Zeeland for a few days and Kees from Holland as well. That is how the Camino goes, hope to see them all in Santiago.

Sept. 9th. Today we walked with Ilka and Doris, 30 km. to Moratinos. Norbert's blisters are better thanks to the treatment from Doris and not carrying a pack for a few day's, so tomorrow it is back to full weight.
Hugs to all

September 6
We arrived in Burgos at mid day and took a hotel as we both needed a good rest.
Norbert had developed some blisters on his right foot and the nite before we were in a room with a Brazilian couple and the man was a very heavy snorer and Norbert says I was in competition with him so Norbert got very little sleep. Visited the Cathedral and again was impressed with the enormity and history of it. Left Burgos at 6:30 am. and walked to Hontanas,
33.5 km. Today's walk reminded me of my Camino in 2013. This was the stretch where I was contemplating to quit the Camino as I was in so much pain and inner turmoil. What difference today, sunshine but not too hot, no pain emotionally or physically, how Blessed I am.
Met up with Estrella, a lady from Madrid who is a nurse, she treated Norbert's blisters and helped us make a reservation in this Auberge. So we call her Norbert's Camino Angel.
Met up again with Greta and Vismante and Andrea who is from Germany. Met two German ladies who walk over 40 km. per day, very impressive. Also keep meeting up with Bernhardt,
Today Sept. 7th. Walked to Boadillo del Camino, 29.7 km. not too hot and a pleasant breeze
which made the long climb up to Alto Mostelares actually a pleasant walk. Norbert's blisters are also getting better. We are in a very nice Hostal/hotel with a private room with bath. Also a very nice garden with a pool and lots of fruit trees of which Norbert took full advantage. Met up with our Camino friends and had dinner with them, we were 9 at our table and know each other since the start.
Tomorrow we will walk to Carrion de los Condes.Thank you Vivian for calling to my attention that it is September and not October.
Hugs to all.

Well today is October 3rd. We are minus Martha and Karli.
Martha had problems with her boots and found it hard to sleep with other people in the room,
She also missed her grand children. Thy took the bus back to St. Jean Pied de Port and will drive back to Holland.
Today we had another 30 km. walk, but it was cloudy so good for walking.
The road today was along the freeway, so not so nice and no grapes or figs to pick. The temperature dropped down to 17 degrees so we needed extra blankets.
We found a nice auberge in Belorado, and met up with Vismante and Greta two wonderful young ladies from Lithuania who are longtime friends and doing the Camino together. Shared a nice dinner with them and a bottle of wine. There is a fiesta in town, Norbert went to have a look but I am resting up for tomorrow when we have quite a climb.
Hugs to all.

Today's walk was longer than expected but very beautiful.
We left Belorado at 7.0 am. And the streets were still full of fiesta revellers most very drunk but all wished us Buen Camino and commented on my Canada flag. We wanted to walk to San Juan de Ortega which is over the Oca mountain at 1,100 meters, very rocky and steep.
When we arrived, the Auberge was full, so we walked to Ages, same thing. So on we went to
Atapuerco where we are now in a nice Auberge and with our friends Vismante and Greta from
Lithuania. Of the 20 some people here we know at least half, thy are from Holland, Germany, Lithuania, Brazil, lucky for us we can communicate with all. Tomorrow we will be in Burgos where we will take a Hotel for a good rest.
Hugs to all.
